Hold the device level and include a generous, unobstructed floor area in the room photo.

Move each corner handle to the rug edge, inspect the cutout, and make small cleanup adjustments.

Drag each of the four handles to the rug’s outer corners before choosing Prepare Rug. Highly patterned rugs can contain smaller rectangles, so RIVA always keeps this confirmation step under your control.
The cutout includes some showroom floor.
Return to Rug Corners and move the handles slightly inside the rug edge. Then use Edge inset sparingly. A contrasting floor and even lighting usually improve the first result.
The rug does not look flat in my room.
Match all four placement handles to the visible floor perspective. Use the back edge to follow a nearby floorboard or furniture line, then adjust the front corners.

What should I include in a support email?
